Maybe you have heard about it, maybe not. I haven’t until last week. Every two weeks we at Mavention have a knowledge sharing night. One of my colleagues Marcel van der Lem told us about User Profile Replication he used at one of our customers.
What is it?
The User Profile Replication engine is a optional component of SharePoint Server 2010 ans is part of the SharePoint Administration Toolkit. It replicates User Profiles and social data between User Profile service applications.
Why use it?
It comes very handy when you have a Development, Q&A and Production environment. In stead of building it all again from scratch, you can replicate all or some user profiles.
