This morning I passed exam 70-668 SharePoint Server 2010 Administering with a score of 930. It kind of surprised me I did it so well, because just like when I took the beta exam 71-667 SharePoint Server Configuring, I hardly prepared. The last 2 nights I was just “speed reading” the book Professional SharePoint 2010 Administration by Todd Klindt, Shane Young and Steve Caravajal. My other knowledge is based on experience and playing around with SharePoint 2010 in the last couple of months. And there’s of course common sense when reading the questions…
There were a lot of questions with large scenario descriptions containing various requirements. The questions I had to think about more then 2 minutes were about infrastructure with components like DNS with round robin, load balancing, Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Lightweight Domain Services , Active Directory Federated Services, perimeter networks with FireWalls, authentication scenario’s. Subjects you really should read about before going into this exam.
So, with both IT Pro exams (70-667 en 70-668) passed I am now MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010. Nice.
Upcoming exams will be both developer exams.
Nice one, I just did my 70-573. On to 70-576 then to the two exams you did. Check out Joel Jeffries free practice exam for 70-573 at http://joelblogs.co.uk/practice-exams/ . It was helpful and more importantly is made of purely original questions, so you don’t get bad karma. 😉
